Star Wars: Clone Wars Actor Calls for Plo Koon and Young Ahsoka Spinoff
Star Wars franchise star James Arnold Taylor reveals his hopes for a Plo Koon return.
Star Wars voice actor James Arnold Taylor has revealed that he wants Lucasfilm to make a Plo Koon and young Ahsoka Tano animated series for Disney+.
While speaking at the Clone Wars 15th anniversary panel at Florida Supercon, via Popverse, Taylor was asked about whether or not the Jedi Plo Koon, one of the many characters he voiced on the show, will make another appearance anytime soon. Taylor said the following: “I would be really thrilled if we were able to extend what they did in the last series with Ahsoka and Plo,” before adding, “I’d love a whole mini-series of when she was little, and him training her as a Jedi.”

The new Rey Star Wars movie will revisit the sequel trilogy, but tensions may still be too high for the film to redeem its predecessors’ legacy.
Taylor went on to explain why he thinks a miniseries focused on a young Ahsoka and Plo Koon would work. “I know that Ashley [Eckstein] is an amazing actress, and she could voice little Ahsoka, and she could voice midsize Ahsoka, and then full grown Ahsoka, because we’ve seen all that,” Taylor said. “I would love to see their arc told more. I want to know what happened there.” Plo Koon and Ahsoka shared a close bond across seven seasons of The Clone Wars, as the Jedi was the first to discover Tano and bring her into the Order.
Plo Koon Could Somehow Return
Interestingly, Taylor also teased the possibility of Plo Koon surviving Order 66. The Jedi Master’s ship was shown crashing in 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, and he was presumed dead. However, Taylor noted that “if Darth Maul can survive Obi-Wan Kenobi cutting him in half, then Plo Koon could survive Order 66.” If that was the case, Plo Koon would be one of many Jedi to have survived the purge executed by Emperor Palpatine, and now on a list that includes Obi-Wan Kenobi, Cal Kestis, Kanan Jarrus, and more.

Although it’s unclear if Plo Koon will return to the Star Wars franchise, the franchise’s animation side is still going strong. The final season of The Bad Batch is currently airing now on Disney+, and Tales of the Jedi season 2 is set to release later this year as well.
