Rachel may be high-maintenance, and some fans may have not liked her for many reasons (via Screen Rant), but when she broke the news of permanently leaving New York for Paris, there was a tiny part in every Friends fan who were heartbroken. Fans knew this would effectively bring down curtains to the sweet chemistry between not just Ross and Rachel, but her and Monica as well.

Monica and Rachel’s prom video was truly a funny gag at first, but gradually it turned into a video full of Ross’ nightmares — and ultimately had fans feel sad for him. The video unravels Ross’ unnoticed effort to take Rachel to prom before another guy swoops in at the last minute to do the same, leaving him heartbroken. This definitely stung a little harder for everyone hoping for Ross and Rachel’s union, especially when fans knew Rachel was Ross’ one true love since high school.

The Friends Bid Goodbye

Though it is possible fans might not have cried at the many emotional moment Friends served us throughout its 10 seasons, the series finale is a different situation. The conclusion truly was executed so perfectly; it gave each character a deserving end to their arc. Not just that, but the summing up of the entire show was so accurate that fans at times weren’t exactly ecstatic with even the news of the show’s nearing end.

Mike and Pheobe’s Break-Up

Pheobe truly never landed into a settling relationship until Mike came in. But before she finally married him, there was a phase in their relationship when Mike wasn’t ready for such a big commitment. Thus, he broke up with her. Fans knew the intensity of joy and happiness Mike brought in Pheobe’s life, so to see that all ending in nothing so quickly was not something fans were looking forward to, especially when they had lived through every harrowing and sad tale of her past.
