NCIS: Los Angeles has mixed news for fans.

CBS has announced some big news for fans of NCIS and its spinoffs NCISLos Angeles and NCIS: Hawai’i.

The three popular shows finally received dates for their season finales, and fans have a lot to look forward to.

NCIS: Los Angeles will be getting a two-part series ender before the show is taken off the air for good with its 14th season. Part 1 will air on May 14, with the second part a week later on May 21.

Following the second episode, CBS will also air an hour-long special titled, A Salute to NCIS: Los Angeles.

NCIS: Hawai’i is also getting a two-part finale to close its second season, airing on May 15 and 22. While NCIS isn’t getting the two-part treatment, its season 20 finale airs on May 22.

The good news for NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i fans is that both of the shows are sticking around for some time yet, having been renewed for next season.

NCIS: Los Angeles showrunner R Scott Gemmill recently shared a statement following the announcement that the LA-based spin-off would be ending.

“Our crew has grown to be a true family, and their hard work and dedication has been fundamental to our success year after year,” he said. “My deepest gratitude to the cast members, who have brought our characters to life with their impassioned performances – thank you for your talent, professionalism and continuous enthusiasm.

“And to our loyal viewers who loved our characters and followed their journeys, thank you. We look forward to delivering an end to the series that is both satisfying and does justice to these beloved characters.”

Earlier in the season, the three shows aired a crossover that saw characters from all three series team up and work together for the first time in the franchise’s history.
