Chicago Fire Season 11 Trailer: Casey & Sylvie Have Emotional Reunion

Chicago Fire Season 11 Trailer: Casey & Sylvie Have Emotional Reunion

NBC releases a brand new Chicago Fire season 11 episode 18 reveals the emotional reunion between ex-lovers, Matt Casey and Sylvie Brett.

A brand-new Chicago Fire season 11, episode 18 trailer shows the emotional reunion of Matt Casey and Sylvie Brett after their heartbreaking split. The couple had to break up because their long-distance setup wasn’t working for them. This was after Casey moved across the country to Oregon as Chicago Fire’s way to write out Jesse Spencer from One Chicago.

Due to Kelly Severide’s absence, Spencer’s Matt Casey is recruited back to Chicago Fire, and this new trailer from NBC (via SpoilerTV) shows his reunion with Sylvie.

Titled “Danger All Around” there’s barely anything revealed about Casey’s role in the outing. He seems to be working with Stella Kidd, who took over his spot at Firehouse 51, but nothing else revealed about his upcoming cameo.

Will Casey & Sylvie Get Back Together In Chicago Fire?

Because it’s Kidd who first greets Casey, it seems like his return to Chicago is purely for business purposes. Despite that, it’s difficult to bring him back to Firehouse 51 without acknowledging what happened between him and Sylvie. Their break-up, which happened at the start of Chicago Fire season 11, didn’t come easy as both still loved each other at that point, so the pair could get back together.

Since the breakup, Sylvie has moved on. It’s uncertain how Casey’s love life is in Oregon, but as seen in recent episodes of Chicago Fire, it hasn’t been easy for Sylvie to put herself back into the dating pool. Unless they can come up with a more concrete approach to their long-distance set-up, it’s arguably for the better that they stay separated.

Looking at the trailer, it won’t be surprising if the scene between the pair is their final goodbye. Because Spencer was no longer on Chicago Fire when the split happened, it was only shown from Sylvie’s point of view. Now, at least, they can have closure before fully breaking up.
