Chicago Fire, like any show, ran into problems on set. There have been shots near real-life locations and stunts that went wrong, but the latest incident involved a four-wheeler plowing into the set.

According to Deadline, four local youths rushed over the set of the firefighting movie while driving a truck and injured two security guards in the process. The incident happened at the South Loop near the Fire Academy in downtown Chicago, on the second to last day of filming for season 11.

A source close to the show told the news agency that security guards acted quickly and heroically by preventing the four-wheeler from approaching the cast and crew. The severity of their injuries remains unclear, aside from the fact that they are not life-threatening and their identities have yet to be released.

As mentioned before, this isn’t the first time the cast and crew of Chicago Fire have been put at risk. In September, an unidentified person headed to the set. 1 The guy fled in a black SUV and production was briefly halted.

It was this incident, in fact, that led to the increased security measures. The show was given a beefed up security team that included a hostage negotiator and former members of the Navy SEALs and the Army Rangers.

Production on season 11 of Chicago Fire is scheduled to wrap on May 5, which makes sense given the recency of the set photos that have been snapped by fans. One notable photo confirmed that Jesse Spencer will be returning as Matthew Casey.
