AJ Buckley has joined the CBS police drama Blue Bloods.
Buckley will guest star as Sergeant Mulvey, who will clash with Will Estes’s character Jamie Reagan during a hostage scene where Mulvey is his superior, reports TVLine.
Mulvey enters the hostage situation and goes about it his own way, not following proper protocols and putting people’s lives at risk.
It turns out, however, that Mulvey has “a compelling reason for such behavior”.
Blue Bloods follows the Reagans, a multigenerational family of cops in New York City, and stars Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan.
Buckley is best known for his role as Adam Ross in CSI: NY. He also has appeared in Supernatural and Murder in the First.
Last year, Buckley welcomed daughter Willow Phoenix Buckley with fiancée Abigail Ochse.
