‘Yellowstone’ Fans, You’re Going to Be Disappointed By This Latest Episode News

The drama is getting sidelined for the 2024 Golden Globes, which are airing on CBS.

Ever since September 2023, fans of Yellowstone have had the pleasure of tuning into CBS on Sunday nights to catch reruns of their favorite TV drama. As viewers inch closer to the final set of episodes with season 5 part 2 this November, it’s been nice to get reacquainted with important members of the Dutton family as their story begins to wrap up in the hit Paramount Network franchise.

As CBS prepares to start airing old episodes from season 3 on the channel this month, viewers may be surprised when they tune in to see there isn’t an episode scheduled for January 7. Well, after doing some digging, we found out the answer for why Yellowstone isn’t airing tonight.

Is a new episode of Yellowstone on tonight?

We hate to break hearts around here, but there is no new episode of Yellowstone on tonight. The reason for this change in TV scheduling is due to the 2024 Golden Globes, which will air on January 7, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET and take over Yellowstone’s current slot on CBS. Luckily, though, the episode 1 of season 3 will start airing again on January 14.

Although fans won’t get to see a new episode of Yellowstone tonight, two Taylor Sheridan-created franchises will be mentioned throughout the ceremony. When the 2024 Golden Globes nominations were announced in December 2023, Yellowstone fans learned that the prequel series 1923 was nominated for Best Television Series, Drama, along with Helen Mirren receiving a nod for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama for her role as Cara Dutton.

“A huge congratulations to @helenmirren and the entire 1923 team on our @goldenglobes nominations!” read an official caption on Instagram on December 11.
What’s more, David Oyelowo is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor, Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, thanks to his performance as Bass Reeves in the anthology series Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

“So grateful. Thanks @goldenglobes and my massive @lawmenbassreeves family,” David wrote on Instagram the day the nominations went live.
Well, there seems to still be a good reason for Yellowstone fans to tune into CBS tonight!
