TOM SELLECK’S REP DENIES RUMORS OF HEALTH ISSUES: ‘[HE IS IN] EXCELLENT HEALTH’

Tom Selleck’s representative denied claims that Selleck is ill, saying the actor is “fit and vigorous.”

An inside source reportedly said Selleck suffers from a secret medical crisis that has forced him to use a stunt double while filming BLUE BLOODS.

“Tom’s in a lot of pain and agony,” the source told RadarOnline. “He’s been to doctors and has learned techniques to alleviate the pain, but it’s a disease that isn’t going to go away. He’s learning to adjust to it as best as he can.”

The insider also claimed Selleck used a stunt double to film regular scenes on BLUE BLOODS because the pain he was experiencing kept him from being able to film.

This is not the first time Selleck has had to battle rumors about his health.

The Daily Star reported that people have claimed he has “crippling arthritis,” which has even affected his vision. His rep also denied this claim, saying Selleck is in “excellent health.”

Whether or not Selleck is truly suffering from arthritis or some other medical issue, it’s clear that it has not slowed down his work schedule.

The actor recently finished filming Season 13 of BLUE BLOODS in April and the show has been picked up for another season.

Co-star Donnie Wahlberg posted about the season’s wrap, writing, “I can’t tell you all how fortunate I am to work with such an amazing cast & crew, nor can I ever properly express my gratitude to them and to all of you — our loyal fans & viewers! On to Season 14!”
