‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ awakens nostalgia for the space epic

The new episode of the European and American pop culture phenomenon series revives old “Star Wars” memories with a series of action scenes.

Since producers started casting in 2013, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has made viewers excitedly waiting. The closer the movie gets to its release date, the more feverish it becomes and is considered the most anticipated work of 2015. When it hits theaters, the movie satisfies fans by evoking the passionate, nostalgic atmosphere of the original three episodes, instead of offer a groundbreaking new story.

The new season’s plot contains many similarities with the first episode – A New Hope. The old movie tells the story of the journey of a farmer named Luke living on the desert planet Tatooine, caught up in the war between the Jedi Knights – the dark side – and discovering his identity as a knight. Meanwhile, The Force Awakens is about a young orphan girl named Rey who lives by collecting trash on the desert planet Jakkhu. One day, she was caught up in the war between the descendants of the dark side and the light side. From here, Rey gradually discovers her true identity.

With a classic plot, the new film pulls viewers into a vast, rich, life-filled universe that legendary filmmaker George Lucas created four decades ago. Right at the beginning of the movie, the audience is immersed in the atmosphere of war between legions of Stormtroopers wearing strange masks like Japanese samurai on a distant and ancient planet. Following a talking robot, a traitor and an orphan girl, the audience then travels across the galaxy, meeting knights, humans, strange creatures, and entering taverns. in space and witnessed random but deadly fights and shootings.

Interspersed between the brutal battles of the factions, scenes of bustling daily life, rich in poetry and music on planets that seem to only have burning sand and scorching sun, still take place vibrantly.

The details that make up the “spirit” of Star Wars are fully reproduced in the new film. These are scenes of flying spaceships traveling in space, space pilots flying ships to bombard and fight against enemies with colored bullets, Jedi knights using light swords to fight enemies or apply strength. Invisible divine power to hypnotize and control others.

The pair of old Star Wars characters reunited, making the audience burst into memories: the interplanetary smuggler – Han Solo – and the princess of the light side – Leia. In the new movie, they are older but are still played by the actors who played in the old movie, actor Harrison Ford and actress Carrie Fisher. In addition to helping bring old memories back to life in pictures, this pair of contrasting characters also helps viewers connect to a new story with many interesting details.

The young stars in the film have mature acting skills. Actress born in 1992 – Daisy Ridley – transforms into the orphan girl Rey caught up in the war. Almost anonymous before coming to Star Wars, Daisy Ridley convinced viewers with her bright, saintly face and determined, straightforward eyes. Ridley’s natural acting clearly highlights the portrait of a weak orphan who can transform into a technologically talented and energetic female warrior when opposing enemies. Her multidimensional acting captured the hearts of viewers.

Revolving around “girlfriend” Daisy Ridley are three male leads with different looks and complex personalities. Rey’s companion is Finn – a defector from the dark organization who eventually returns to help her. Black actor born in 1992 – John Boyega – gives a “cool” performance as an honest guy who learns to overcome fear. Actor Oscar Isaac creates the dusty and strong character of a fighter pilot belonging to the resistance army.

Meanwhile, the villain Kylo Ren (played by actor Adam Driver) has a complex personality, both pitiful and hateful. Carefully selected scenes of the character wearing a mask and then taking it off also increase the mystery and impression of the character’s appearance.

Famous black actress – Lupita Nyong’o – transforms into an interplanetary bar owner. Computer technology turned the dark continent beauty into a small old woman who looked like a mutant with wrinkled brown skin and a face that was both cunning and beautiful. This character along with a series of machines, green-skinned people, and giants provide the film with a solid foundation of a fertile, life-rich universe.
