As Ken Corday (Executive Producer, Days) promised in Soap Opera Digest, their exit wasn’t dramatic or ‘significant’, as their last scenes showed them in the hospital talking to Stephanie about her love life, learning Hope lost her badge, and Steve telling his wife she needed to concentrate on recovering from Hope shooting her.

It’s been a mere few weeks since we said goodbye to popular supercouple, “Jarlena” Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn,(Marlena and John Black). We’ve barely had time to digest their firing before learning that last year’s lead actor nominee, Thaao Penghlis was also let go. Now we are saddened once again to give fans this next news.
Soaps.com has received word that Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Johnson) and Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson) have also been let go from Days of Our Lives.
The news has fans questioning who next is on the chopping block. No word yet on when their last air date is, however, Soaps.com will keep you in the loop when we receive more word.
