Married At First Sight star Ashley Irvin officially graduates as a registered nurse after losing her job as a Virgin Australia flight attendant

Ashley Irvin has officially graduated from Queensland University of Technology as a registered nurse.

The 33-year-old former flight attendant, who found fame on Married At First Sight in 2018, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Monday.

She also posted a reel of photos from her big day, as she revealed she had ‘a grad position at the Gold Coast Hospital’ lined up for April.

‘I can’t believe I am officially a graduated registered nurse! Hardest two years of my life! I could not have done it without the amazing support behind me!’ Ashley wrote.

‘Honestly my family and friends have kept me going through some tough times between full-time uni and full-time work! I cannot thank them enough!

‘I am also so lucky to start a grad position at the Gold Coast Hospital in April! I might even start cosmetic nursing in January just to keep busy.’

In the reel of photos, Ashley could hardly keep the smile off her face as she posed in her graduation gown holding a bouquet of flowers and her degree.

She took several photos with her family and friends who showed up to support her, including former Love Island star Shelby ‘Bilby’ Mills.

She revealed her new career path back in 2020 when she lost her job as a Virgin Australia flight attendant at the start of the Covid pandemic.

‘So excited to be starting my graduate degree in nursing next year at QUT,’ she announced on Instagram at the time.

‘Covid kind of made me re-evaluate my life and I’m so glad it did. I am going to try and do full-time nursing and full-time flight attending, so wish me luck.’

She shot to fame on Married At First Sight in 2018 alongside ‘husband’ Troy Delmege. They are no longer together but remain friends.
