Kristian Alfonso through the years: See the ‘Days of Our Lives’ star then and now

How quickly the time goes! It’s been many, many days since Kristian Alfonso first auditioned for “Days of Our Lives” — 35 years’ worth, in fact.

Back in 1983, the budding young actress had landed a few roles before snagging a coveted spot on the smash soap opera. She co-starred alongside Rock Hudson in “The Starmaker” in 1981, just a few years before his tragic untimely death, and she was a wildly successful model who’d already appeared on the cover of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

But nothing could have fully prepared Alfonso for “Days of Our Lives.” She was cast as Hope Williams, but she came and left the show a few times as she pursued other career endeavors. Finally, in 1994, she made a permanent return as a character named Gina, who had amnesia. You guessed it — Gina was eventually determined to actually be Hope.

Three decades after her initial appearance on the show, Alfonso is one of its longest-running stars. Now 55, she is married to the handsome Danny Daggenhurst and is a mom of three.

In 2016, Alfonso was by longtime co-star Deidre Hall’s side as she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Nothing like a soap opera family!
