Grey’s Anatomy characters including Meredith Grey announced for Station 19’s big season finale

Four Grey’s Anatomy stars – including Ellen Pompeo – have been announced to appear in Station 19’s season 3 finale.

Pompeo (Dr Meredith Grey), Caterina Scorsone (Dr Amelia Shepherd), Kim Raver (Dr Teddy Altman), and Stefania Spampinato (Dr Carina DeLuca) will all feature in the spin-off show’s 16th episode which is rather ominously titled ‘Louder Than a Bomb’.

The episode synopsis released by ABC also revealed that there will be a “life-threatening situation” at Pac-North.

“Meanwhile, the members of the crew work to evacuate a doctor from Pac-North hospital and find themselves in a life-threatening situation; and Sullivan undergoes surgery for his chronic leg pain.”

These details are particularly interesting given that there were reports recently that the original Grey’s Anatomy season 16 finale was supposed to see a major character die following a massive explosion.

While showrunner Krista Vernoff didn’t comment on the reports, she did tell TVLine earlier this month that fans “will probably have a feeling of some of what we had planned” by watching Station 19.

Vernoff also added that some scenes in the season 3 finale had to be edited to take into account the fact that the Grey’s Anatomy finale wouldn’t be airing as originally planned. Grey’s Anatomy’s 16th season was cut short by four episodes, which resulted in a number of storylines being put on hold.

Station 19 has already seen two major deaths this season, with Ryan Tanner and Pruitt Herrera both losing their lives.
