Gordon Ramsay Ate A $777 Burger Topped With Lobster And Totally Loved It

Burgers don’t need much to be delicious. Truly, slap a ground beef patty on a bun, top it with some good cheese, a few extras (if you even want them!) and you have yourself one great meal. But if for some reason you wanted to MAJORLY step up your burger game, Gordon Ramsay knows just the spot.

The chef recently visited Burger Brasserie in Las Vegas as part of his show Gordon Ramsay’s American Road Trip where he and friends Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix tried out a burger that will cost you $777. Before you click away thinking they’re charging hundreds for a patty on some white bread, you should know this is no ordinary burger. The sandwich, which was previously reported on by Insider, is made with ground Wagyu beef and topped with poached lobster meat, goat cheese, pancetta, two slices of foie gras, arugula, and 100-year-old balsamic vinegar.

After Gordon assisted the chef in making the burger, the trio got to give it a try. After cutting in to make sure it was perfectly cooked and totally decadent, they each got a slice to try alongside their glasses of Dom Perignon. Gino and Gordon were both totally in love with this over-the-top burger, though Fred was not so impressed. “I just can’t compute the price and the taste,” he said.

As Gordon relented, “It’s Vegas!” and, well, the burger is “disgustingly expensive, but it’s bloody delicious!” Honestly, we’d love to give this one a try someday, but for now, a greasy patty on a brioche bun will do us just fine!
