Fuller House’s Dave Coulier reveals sequel delay down to ‘legal’ reason – and says how long fans will wait for spinoff

They took part in a Full House Panel where they answered some burning questions about the future of the franchise.Dave, who played Uncle Joey, and Jodie, who played Stephanie Tanner, both continued their Full House roles in the sequel series Fuller House.Fuller House ran for five seasons from 2016 to 2020 on the streaming platform Netflix.Since the sequel series found so much success, some have wondered if there will be another spinoff series possibly called Fullest House.


When asked about the possibility of Fullest House, Dave revealed that several legal hurdles would need to be ironed out.He said it would be many years before Netflix no longer had the rights to Fuller House.He seemingly insinuated that there are some issues with Netflix giving the series the green light.”Yes. An alcoholic. I’ve been alcohol-free since January 1, 2020.””When I drank, I was the life of the party. I could make people laugh until they fell down. In this picture, I was the one who fell down.”The admission came just two months after his former cast mate Bob Saget’s sudden death at 65 years old.

The TV actor continued: “I was hammered and fell, going up some stairs made of stone. I was always the ‘final final’ guy in the room. The 8 hours of drinking, laughter, and funny stupidity were followed by two days of feeling like a bowl of dog mess.”I loved booze, but it didn’t love me back.”He added on his sobriety journey two years strong: “I decided to make a decision for my own well-being, my family, and for those around me who I love so dearly.”He concluded on the “amazing” recovery: “The sky is more blue, my heart is no longer closed, and I enjoy making people laugh … more than ever before,” thanking his wife Melissa Bring Coulier once again.


Former Fuller House star Miss Benny claimed Candace Cameron Bure, 47, tried to get her gay character removed from the Netflix show.Miss Benny, 25, portrayed the first gay character, Casey, on Fuller House for two episodes back in 2018.On July 6, the Glamorous star uploaded a tell-all video on TikTok.The television star claimed: “One of the Tanner sisters is very publicly…not for the girls if that makes sense.”I got sat down by the writers and basically, the studio warned me how allegedly this person was trying to get the character removed and not have a queer character on the show.”She continued: “I was also sort of warned and prepared that this person’s fanbase might be encouraged to target me specifically.”Miss Benny claimed: “To this day, despite working on this show, every day for two weeks straight, I’ve only had one conversation with one of the Tanner sisters.
“I had a really fun time working on this show with all the other actors who were willing to talk to me.”

She concluded: “This show ultimately led to me being on Glamourous. So, everything happens for a reason.”
