Fuller House Season 6 Is Possible Now More Than Ever

Doing Fuller House season 6 is easier now than ever. Netflix initially greenlit the Full House spin-off revival in 2016 that brought back the family sitcom’s core cast to the iconic San Francisco home. Fuller House ran for five seasons and ended with a satisfying finale. Despite this, audiences have held the hope for the show to continue, especially since certain plot lines reserved for Fuller House season 6 weren’t tackled in the Netflix project. Cast members are open to reprising their respective roles, the only problem is the platform where the Tanners’ story could continue.

Luckily, it would be fairly easy to do Fuller House season 6 now, thanks to Candace Cameron-Bure’s new partnership with Great American Family. Aside from playing DJ Tanner in Full House, the actress had been the face of the Hallmark Channel, appearing in countless Christmas films and even spearheading her own series. In 2022, however, she made the jump to Great American Family – a network owned by Great American Media. The actress has been hired to produce and star in original romantic comedies and holiday content for its networks, but most importantly, she also takes an executive role in the company. The last part makes her the best mediator between Great American Family and series creator and fired Fuller House showrunner Jeff Franklin in an effort to continue the spin-off on the cable channel. Since Bure herself has expressed interest in reprising her role as DJ, chances are that she will be more than willing to make this proposed partnership a reality.

Originally established in 1995 as Great American Country, a country music channel, the network has evolved in a few iterations until it was rebranded to be GAC Family in 2021. The channel focuses on creating and broadcasting family-oriented programming. This makes it the perfect platform for the Tanners’ return to the small screen — whether that’s through another Full House spin-off or continuing the canceled Fuller House. Ever since its debut in 1987, the sitcom’s core theme has always been family in all of its forms. This partnership can also be beneficial for GAC Family. As it establishes itself to be the potential competitor to the Hallmark Channel, it can capitalize on the Full House franchise’s popularity to get more brand recognition.

It has been a difficult year for the Full House family after the untimely death of Bob Saget earlier this year. The actor played the Tanner patriarch, Danny Tanner, who lost his wife at the start of Full House kicking its events. It’s difficult to imagine the iconic TV family without him, but the rest of the cast believes that Saget would want nothing but to see them reunite for a potential Fuller House season 6. Considering the fact that many of the actors are interested it won’t be difficult to move forward with the proposed project. In any case, Netflix’s Fuller House season 5 left several loose plot ends that can be easily continued. Now, it all boils down to finding a platform that can broadcast the potential show, and Great American Family is currently the best option out there.
