Everything Else Jenna Ortega Has Teased About Wednesday Season 2
Same Great Wednesday, No Love Triangle
In addition to more horror and new supernatural creatures, Jenna Ortega has divulged even more exciting changes that will make Wednesday season 2 even better than its original installment. One of season 1’s biggest criticisms was the love triangle between Wednesday, Tyler, and Percy. This was especially frustrating to long-time Addams Family fans because the Wednesday character has rarely, if ever, been involved in a love plot. But Ortega confirmed the show is “kind of ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday.”
While Wednesday is eschewing romantic interests for its sullen protagonist, Ortega promises she will be her same dark, dry self. “She never really changes and that’s the wonderful thing about her,” Ortega says, along with teasing some, “really, really good one-liners” for the sophomore season. Ortega has also indicated that Wednesday season 2 will be more action-packed and have a more cinematic quality. But while the episodes will feel more like movies, the comparisons to Harry Potter will likely be few and far between.
