Ever since Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) proposed to Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) during the season 8 finale of Blue Bloods, fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for their wedding. Throughout season 9, viewers have gotten a few teases that the big day might be happening soon—they’ve already chosen a venue and she’s found the perfect dress—but they have yet to walk down the aisle.
Now, Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan on the show, is revealing more details about the big day. Speaking with TV Insider, Donnie discussed what the Jamko nuptials will be like for the oldest Reagan brother, and even disclosed who might join his character at the ceremony.
“I would think his partner, Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) [would be his date],” the actor said. “They’re so close and she would want to be there with him, knowing how emotional it will be without Linda.”
Baez is definitely one supportive co-worker, but could the revelation hint that she and Danny are ready to go from platonic to romantic partners? Loyalists of the police procedural certainly think so—or, at least, hope so.
The official Blue Bloods Instagram account uploaded a photo of the two dancing, and users were ecstatic about what the moment could mean. “Love it!” someone said. “They look adorable together!” Another person agreed, adding, “These two are great together.” Another person echoed that statement and wrote, “These two are the perfect couple!”
It’s still unclear when Jamie and Eddie will exchange their vows and whether Danny and Baez will get together—but it seems like everyone wants both very soon!
