‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that rough times are ahead for Abe Carver as portrayer, James Reynolds celebrates a major milestone.
It has been teased that Abe will face a medical crisis after being caught up in mob crossfire. As Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Carmine (Richard Stevens) duke it out, Abe will be rushed to Salem University Hospital where the only doctor to ever be on duty, neurologist, cardiologist, geriatrics, obstetrician and oncologist extraordinaire, Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will do everything to keep him alive.

But even this super doctor will have a hard time with Abe’s emergent case and spoilers say she will lose Abe…at least for a while.
With no pulse, Abe will be dead on the table and moving toward the light… all in honor of Reynold’s 40th anniversary of being on the soap.
Reynolds originated the character of Abe Carver in 1981 and is the only actor to ever play him. He did take two short breaks from being on contact with the sudser, in 1991 and 2003 but was still recurring. This makes Abe Carver the longest running African American on-screen character in history!
Nominated for Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a drama series at the Daytime Emmy Awards 4 times, Reynolds finally took the Outstanding Lead Actor trophy home in 2018. This made Reynolds the 3rd African American to win in the 45 year history of the award and the first in 35 years.
The 75 year old has also been nominated for 5 NAACP Image Awards in the Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
As Abe’s life scrolls before his eyes on the upcoming October 25th episode, he will be reflecting on the past 40 years in Salem. His distraught loved ones will also gather to think back on their own memories with Abe.
I don’t know about you, but I am so looking forward to 40 years of DOOL fashions and hair styles!
The good news is, it won’t be time for Abe to meet his maker and super critical care, gynecologist, pediatrician, urologist, plastic surgeon Kayla will bring everyone’s favorite cop, chief, commissioner turned mayor back from the brink and back to healthy enough to meet Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) at the altar in around a month from now.
Its such a shame MarDevil (Deidre Hall) is sitting on some pretty interesting information about Paulina. Will Paulina have to sell her soul to ensure MarDevil keeps her family secret under wraps?
