Chicago fire season Part 12 Budget cuts have been significantly impacted
Fans of the show should enjoy their favorite characters while they can, before it’s too late.
The news of Chicago Fire’s season 12 made fans happy, but as it turns out, not everything in this news is sunshine and rainbows.
It has been revealed that the reason behind the renewal in the first place is a significant change in the budget. And it is not just the Chicago Fire series that will suffer, but the entire franchise.
There will be cuts that will affect the cast appearances in the show, and could also reduce the number of episodes in the new season.
And the main cast members will appear less in the show, which means we will get more supporting characters instead of our beloved ones.
Usually, Chicago Fire has 21 episodes in each season, with the exception of season 9 when the series ended on episode 16.
Well, the creators still promise that the number will stay almost the same, but there will be less important storylines to follow, as the giants of the series will not be there.
It also means that the Chicago Fire writers will have to use some story tricks and angles to keep some characters out of certain episodes.
There will likely be times when characters are implied to be present at the 51 but not seen on screen, or even times when they are told to do something by another character instead of being shown doing it themselves.
In fact, it’s not the first time this has happened on a long-running TV show. Iconic police procedural Blue Bloods also suffered the same fate.
The recent renewal of Blue Bloods for season 14 also cost the cast money.
In order to secure the new season, the crew had to take a 25% pay cut.
Although the premiere date has not yet been announced, season 12 is expected to premiere in the fall of 2023.
