‘Blue Bloods’ Just Introduced a New Romance for Nicky Reagan-Boyle
Blue Bloods fans are no strangers to major character shakeups on the show. After the announcement during the season 8 premiere that the beloved Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) died in a tragic “accident,” viewers might be waiting—or bracing—for more changes to the cast.
Well, ready or not, there’s now a new love interest for one of the main roles—and no, it’s not Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg). Nicky Reagan-Boyle (Sami Gayle) has a new boyfriend!
On the December 1 episode, titled “Handcuffs,” Nicky’s new beau, Nicholas Papadopoulos, who’s played by Dan Amboyer, makes his very first appearance on the program.

But even before his formal introduction, fans were already thrilled. On November 27, the Blue Bloods Twitter account posted a photo of the couple in anticipation of their soon-to-be announced romance, and people are definitely ready to see more of Erin Reagan’s (Bridget Moynahan) daughter.
“I like the idea of more Nicky!” one Twitter user replied. “Yes, Nicky needs some more screen time. It’d be nice to see her dating for a change instead of Jamie and Eddie all the time,” another viewer added. Sami, the actress who portrays Nicky, even got in on the fun and wrote: “Ooooh spicy.”
Although people seem to be excited for the lovebirds, Nicholas might not be “in the relationship for the right reasons,” according to the original tweet.
