April Kirkwood gets candid about plastic surgery and shares why she applied for ‘The Golden Bachelor’

Fans got to know April Kirkwood on Gerry’s season of “The Golden Bachelor,” and she’s been updating us on her life on social media ever since.

This week, April did a Q&A on Instagram where she opened up about all things “The Golden Bachelor,” plastic surgery, and more.

A fan asked April if she had plastic surgery on her face and she candidly said, “Yes. I had cosmetic surgery. I started young so it seems like I’m still the same. In fact, surgery has miraculous effects but only lasts for 7 to 10 years. There are now many less invasive procedures that are really helpful.”

April shares what she does to stay youthful: “I try to stay away from sugar. I recently did a holistic healing meditation that helps reverse the aging process for health reasons. But mostly, I just try to stay happy. Let me assure you, my happiness is my top priority because without it, neither the inside nor the outside can continue to grow happy cells.”

Another fan asked April why she was on “The Golden Bachelor,” and April shared why she was actually on the show.

“I joined the show to try to move forward after losing my late husband Ralph,” she said. His death was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. When the opportunity arose, I was afraid to go. But I’m afraid to stay at home and cry.”

April went on to say, “That’s why I finally decided to do the show. Finally, I’m ready to date again. Being on The Golden Bachelor really helped me move forward.”
