ABC also released the first trailers for ‘Station 19,’ ‘The Rookie’ and ‘9-1-1.’
ABC has unveiled an array of teasers for its upcoming shows including Abbott Elementary, Station 19, Grey’s Anatomy, The Rookie, The Good Doctor and more. The trailers address many of the pending questions on fans minds after the previous seasons as well as give us a taste of what to watch out for. The reveals come as the fan favorite shows finally return over the next few months after delays due to last year’s historic Hollywood strikes. Check out the sea of new trailers below:
‘Abbott Elementary’ Season 3 Trailer
Abbott Elementary is back in session for its third season, the production was paused in May 2023, right after the strike began. The first look takes us back to the underfunded Philadelphia public school as we see many threads from the previous season picked up including Gregory and Janine “being good,” as well as the trailer promising us that we “missed a lot.” The returning cast includes Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and more.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 20 Trailer
The new trailer gives us a good look Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith, who will have a scaled back role in the upcoming season. The teaser also showcases what’s in store for the interns, who are in trouble to say the least. The interpersonal drama and chaos continues as we see Griffith and Adams still have some “serious talking” to do, Richard is still battling alcoholism and Teddy still seems to be in a critical condition. The drama never ceases, and the audiences can’t wait to return to Grey Solan Memorial Hospital.
‘Station 19’ Season 7 Teaser
The final season of Station 19 certainly looks intense. The station has a new captain as Andy rises to the occasion. We see hints of power struggle as our favorite firefighters take on new challenges in each episode. Fans can be rest assured that the series saved its steamiest moments for the last season. The cast returns for the final time for a 10-episode-long season with new showrunners as Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige take over for Krista Vernoff.
‘The Rookie’ Season 6 Trailer
The Nathan Fillion-led The Rookie has many questions to answer after the compelling season 5 finale and the new teaser points towards the answers. The teaser promises a lot of action as the LAPD cops encounter new threats and nuisances. Fans can expect a lot of explosions, exciting car chases and emotional drama as John finally faces the marriage question, in the upcoming season. The returning cast includes Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin Jr., Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, and Eric Winter.
‘9-1-1’ Season 7 Trailer
Our favorite first responders are back in the new teaser of 9-1-1. Unfortunately, there’s an explosion on a ship which could be the same ship that Athena (Angela Bassett) and Bobby (Peter Krause) headed out on for their honeymoon at the end of last season. While we can speculate as much as we want, the upcoming season will tell us the fate of our favorite characters. The returning cast members includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Ryan Guzman, and Gavin McHugh.
‘The Good Doctor’ Season 7 Trailer
Can the good doctor be also a good father? The answer seems to be, yes, in the new teaser as we see Shaun (Freddie Highmore) being a good dad to his new baby and rejoining the hospital after the break. The parenting theme continues with new cases related to babies on way for Shaun along with some heart-felt drama. All lose threads will be tied in the upcoming season as this will be the show’s final run. The seventh and now final season also stars Chuku Modu, Christina Chang, Richard Schiff, Bria Samoné Henderson, Will Yun Lee, Paige Spara, Noah Galvin, and Fiona Gubelmann.
‘The Conners’ Season 6 Trailer
The antics of The Conners’ family continues in the teaser for the sixth season and it packs a punch with a glimpse of guest star Nick Offerman, as a clueless restaurant owner. By the looks of it, this season is going to be very fun. The series has enjoyed great viewership and fans expect a lot of laughs and some heartfelt moments in the upcoming season. The returning cast members include John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jayden Rey, and recurring guest stars Katey Sagal and Nat Faxon.
‘Will Trent’ Season 2 Trailer
Will Trent has a new case at hand in the new teaser of the second season, as a couple of bombers got the “wrong guy.” The quirky detective continues his crime solving streak as we see sparks flying between Will and Angie. The upcoming season will also see Will being adamant about finding his mother’s identity. There are a lot of questions that will be answered in the upcoming season as it will also set up new mysteries. The returning cast includes Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, Sonja Sohn and more.
‘ Not Dead Yet’ Season Trailer
ABC also unveiled the teaser for its sleeper hit Not Dead Yet, and seems like Nell (Gina Rodriguez) has her father to deal with this time around, along with the ghosts she sees. The season looks all fresh and fun as we see new storylines taking shape. The returning cast members include Hannah Simone, Lauren Ash, Rick Glassman, Joshua Banday among others. With more adventures awaiting Nell, it is exciting to see where this season will take fans.
‘American Idol’ Season 7 Trailer
We also got a look at the upcoming season of American Idol, which shows a very emotional audition as Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie returns to judge and find new stars. The clip sees a young adopted girl, McKeena, who sings a beautiful rendition of ‘There was Jesus.’ As a surprise her adopted family brought out her birth family, who she was due to meet in three weeks. If the heartfelt reunion is anything to go by, this season of the show is going to be extra tear-filled with some soulful numbers.
