NCIS may be on hiatus at the moment, but Wilmer Valderrama is speaking out on something that’ll keep fans tuning in every week.
The hit CBS drama has been on the air since it debuted back in 2003, and season 22 is in the middle of a short break before a new episode drops on April 14. Ahead of the latest installment coming back to TV, Wilmer decided to share with his Instagram followers a shocking statistic about the legacy NCIS continues to bring to the world of television.
Posting an image to his Instagram account on April 2, Wilmer shared a stat from a February 2025 article from Variety. According to the report, NCIS averages 10.4 million viewers every single week — and the actor was grateful to the show’s fanbase for making it such a beloved program on TV.
“Season 22 has 10.4 million reasons to say THANK YOU,” he emotionally wrote in the caption. “Your support means everything. #NCIS returns April 14 with a brand-new episode on @cbstv!”
Upon seeing Wilmer’s appreciative nod to NCIS’incredible viewing milestone, fans had to bombard him with their own well wishes.
“Congratulations you guys, well earned!!” one person wrote in the comments. “I’m watching right now as we speak, catching up on episodes. After all these years, it is still one of my favorite shows” another declared. “When you make a great show, it’s easy to be one in 10.4 million!” a different follower added.
Clearly folks love NCIS, and the show loves its fanbase right back! And this all comes as the procedural drama got renewed for season 23 earlier this year — meaning we have a lot more stories yet to see.
As for what viewers can expect when NCIS comes back on the air on April 14, an official press release states the episode (titled “Killer Instinct”) sees the team attempting to capture a hitman who ordered the killing of a Navy chief. And judging from this tease alone, we want to tune in ASAP.
