Coldplay’s Chris Martin and his fiancée, actress Dakota Johnson, are rumored to have called off their engagement after a seven-year relationship.
Chris Martin, 47, and Dakota Johnson , 34, have reportedly called off their engagement and quietly split. While the Daily Mail reported that their romance was over, the Fifty Shades actress’s rep later insisted that the rumors were completely false. “Dakota and Chris are still happily together, and she went to her fiancé’s concert two weeks ago to cheer him on,” the rep said.
The news broke after the Fifty Shades actress was seen without her engagement ring while walking her dog in Malibu, California. Chris Martin’s representative did not comment on the news. Notably, Dakota Johnson did not accompany her husband-to-be on his Music of the Spheres tour in Europe with his band.
Chris Martin is currently on the European leg of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour . Chris and Dakota went public with their relationship in 2017, three years after the singer’s divorce from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple kept their relationship extremely private and have never walked the red carpet together.
In 2019, there were some rumors that they had been separated for a few months but this was never confirmed. Although they were rarely photographed together outside of romantic vacations, Chris sweetly expressed his love for Dakota in 2021 when he dedicated his song My Universe to her during a Coldplay concert.
