What’s next for Stuart Scola in FBI season 6?

Even though we still have a long way to go until new episodes of FBI season 6, we’re still thinking about what we can expect from the show when season 6 returns. Due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, with the former just recently ending their strike, we do not yet know what will await some members of the cast, including Stuart Scola, played by John Boyd.

Fans of the series may recall that in the season 5 finale episode, “God Complex,” Scola and his girlfriend, Nina (Shantal VanSanten) were preparing for the birth of their son. They had already gone through a scare when Agent Nina Chase had been shot during a case that occurred during the big crossover event between all of the FBI shows.

In the season finale, as the team were busy looking into a serial killer with a God complex, Nina was rushed to the hospital with a bacterial infection. It was a serious condition that put her and the baby in danger, and Scola was faced with a decision about who to save if it came down to it.

Luckily, both Nina and the baby were fine, and Scola revealed to his co-workers the baby’s name is Douglas, after his deceased brother.

What’s next for Stuart Scola in FBI season 6?

Due the writer’s strike, which began around the summertime, there haven’t been any scripts completed for FBI season 6. So we may not know exactly what the storylines will be, but we do know that most likely we will see Scola navigating this new aspect of his life when it comes to work.

Being a new father and an FBI agent whose life may be in danger in a majority of the investigations they work on, Scola may be dealing with the balance that comes between the two worlds he is now in. Plus, we may also get to see some cute family moments between him, Nina, and baby Douglas. Either way, we’re looking forward to what season 6 has to offer once the show returns at some point in the future.

Since the show mainly focuses on the cases and the rest of the cast, we likely will get hints about how Scola is doing once in a while. Hopefully we will get to continue to see more of Scola and Nina’s connection as the show comes back, possibly in 2024.

While we wait for new episodes of FBI to air, you can check out previous episodes on Paramount+.
