The NCIS universe just got even bigger—and a whole lot more personal. Paramount+ has officially released the first-look photos from NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the highly anticipated spinoff that brings back two of the most iconic characters in franchise history: Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David.
This time, the duo isn’t chasing criminals with the MCRT. Instead, they’re on the run across Europe, raising their now 12-year-old daughter, Tali (played by Isla Gie), while facing an imminent threat. According to the show’s synopsis, the family is forced into hiding after Tony’s security firm is attacked, and they must navigate danger, trust, and love in equal measure.
The first-look photos reveal tender and tense moments alike—from Tony and Ziva crouching to speak with Tali at eye level, to scenes that suggest danger might be closer than they think. One particularly heartwarming image shows Tony clowning around with Tali at a sunny outdoor café, a rare moment of peace amid the chaos.
The cast also includes Lara Rossi as Sophie, Tali’s elite-trained nanny; Amita Suman as Claudette, the company’s tech genius; Maximilian Osinski as Boris, their quirky hacker; and James D’Arcy as a high-ranking Interpol official with mysterious motives.
What makes NCIS: Tony & Ziva truly special is that it marks the first time Weatherly and de Pablo will share the screen as these beloved characters since their emotional goodbye nearly a decade ago. While Ziva returned briefly in NCIS Season 17, and Weatherly made a surprise appearance in Season 21 for Ducky’s tribute, this spinoff brings them back together in a full-circle moment fans have long awaited.
Showrunner John McNamara promises that the series will be more than just a procedural. “We’re telling a serialized story about family, survival, and second chances,” he said. “There’s action, romance, and real emotional stakes. It’s everything fans love about Tony and Ziva—but on a global scale.”
The 10-episode limited series will debut on Paramount+ in Fall 2025. And while there’s no confirmed release date just yet, one thing is certain—after years of waiting, the Tiva story is far from over.
Stay tuned. The mission isn’t just personal this time—it’s family.
