The Office was a show unlike any other when it debuted to American audiences in 2005. Based on the UK series of the same name, The Office was set up like a mockumentary, with a fictional documentary crew interviewing the employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The original main cast included Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, and B. J. Novak, although names like Ed Helms, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, and more joined down the line.

Since this was set up like a mockumentary, many of these cast members almost ended up defined by their characters on the show, but they are all much more than that in real life. This includes the fact that most of them are married, and many of them have marriages that have lasted decades. While some members of The Office cast remain single, most of the cast members went on to find the true love that Jim and Pam always believed was possible on the long-running hit NBC sitcom.

Steve Carell is the genius behind Michael Scott’s cringeworthy moments on The Office. The star of The 40-Year-Old Virgin star went on to win a Golden Globe for his role in the series, which he left after its seventh season. In his personal life, Carell met actress Nancy Carell at an improv class, and the couple got married in 1995. “I thought she hated me because she was very quiet around me,” Carell remembers (via The Guardian). “I later found out that she was just as nervous as I was.”

While The Office fans may be obsessed with Dwight’s relationship with Angela Martin, in real life, Rainn Wilson has been married to actress Holiday Reinhorn since 1995. The two met at the University of Washington in an acting class, and they have one son, Walter (b. 2004). The couple lives in Oregon when not working.

Wilson has said that the two balance each other out perfectly. He remembers their wedding, where they had a bagpipe player playing “Amazing Grace,” Holiday wore a minidress and white go-go boots, and the two jumped in the river in Washington during the ceremony. “It was a bizarre and profound expression of our love. The two met in person through a mutual friend but have very different versions of who asked who on a date. The couple got married in 1997 and are the parents of two daughters, Rory and Piper.
