Taylor Kinney Revealed 10 Years of the Chicago Fire

Taylor Kinney spoke with Al Roker on The Today Show about his time on Chicago Fire, where he’s played Kelly Severide since 2012, when the show first premiered. If you can’t do the math, that means he’s been on the series for 10 years, all of which he loves looking back on.

“This is home.” Kinney talks about the city of Chicago. “Times have changed, cities have changed, and people have grown.”

As fans waved to him in the back during the interview, Kinney commented, “The city is so good to me. I love the city. I’ve known that through my work.”

Roker applauds Kinney’s work and notes that he is someone who appreciates “what he has, where he comes from and where he is. And Kinney responded with nothing but gratitude.

Of course, this isn’t the only time Kinney has publicly expressed her appreciation for the Chicago Fire. Kinney told Us Weekly in May 2022: “I’ll never forget how special it feels to be part of something as enduring as this. .”
