Ron Howard and Happy Days stars reunite after half a century: “It feels like just yesterday”

It was a very Happy Day for the attendees at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh this weekend, as Happy Days‘ four biggest stars, Henry Winkler, Ron Howard, Anson Williams and Don Most, reunited publicly for the first time in 50 years. Howard joked, according to PEOPLE, that instead of five decades, their time apart “feels like 50 minutes.” He added, “It does. We’re having so much fun hanging, and this is sort of our great excuse to come together, so thank you.”

The cast members reunited to talk about their time on the ’70s and ’80s sitcom, which ran for 11 seasons on ABC and became a pop culture phenomenon. They also paid tribute to the late Garry Marshall, who created the show and passed away in 2016.
Winkler shared, “First of all, Garry Marshall was, like, a brilliant creator, a great writer. … They chose a wonderful cast — some of them, unfortunately, are no longer on the earth with us — but we played together, we stayed together, and we worked hard together. Nobody thought they were better than anybody else.”

He continued, “It was a life experience that’s unlike anything else that I’ve ever known. And we had great chemistry. We had fun working together from the beginning, and it never failed us.”
This was perhaps the key that has kept the cast members friends for all of these years. Prior to the event, Winkler talked about how excited he was to see everyone. He told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “We have been together. We see each other, we talk to each other, support each other. But this is the first time we will be together in a public setting.”

In the past, Howard and Winkler have reunited for events and in February, Howard, Williams and Most got together for a panel discussion at MegaCon Orlando, proving that Happy Days is just as beloved as it once was. Who is your favorite character or actor from Happy Days?
