Queen Latifah touched down in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday arriving in the center of the city by helicopter.
The actress and singer, 45, was accompanied by dance choreographer and rumored girlfriend Eboni Nichols.
The pair, who were dressed for the muggy heat, were greeted by pals before heading off on motorcycles to film in one of the Brazilian city’s favelas, or slums.
She wore her hair in a messy bun and rocked some large sunglasses.
Eboni opted for a tiny pair of Daisy Dukes and sandals paired with a spaghetti strap black top and a long white and light cardigan.
She wore her hair in cornrows with large hooped earrings and some shades.
Latifah has never spoken publicly about her sexuality or her private life, and has never gone into details about her friendship with Eboni, although the pair are frequently seen together.

Latifah met up with a camera crew and the entourage drove together on motorbikes to the Vidigal Favela, onlookers said.
There, the TV personality and chat host was seen enjoying a cold beer and chatting with locals as cameras rolled.
She had changed into skinny jeans and a striped long-sleeved shirt for the filming and seemed to have a great time despite the rainy weather.
It’s not known exactly what she was shooting but Brazil, and Rio in particular, appears to be one of her favorite destinations.
She and Eboni were spotted enjoying a vacation there earlier this year during which they visited the famous Christ The Redeemer statue that looks out over Rio.
