Jennifer Aniston has a friend in Nicola Coughlan!
The Bridgerton star, 37, told Access Hollywood ahead of the 2024 Emmys that she had never before been on a Hollywood red carpet. And as a newcomer, she couldn’t believe the company she was in.
“Okay, I went to get my photos taken, and then I looked to my left and Jennifer Aniston was standing right beside me,” Coughlan said. “I heard her voice, and I gasped!”
Aniston, 55, is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her role on The Morning Show, and Coughlan, who is fresh off a summer of Bridgerton press for the show’s third season, presented the award for the night’s best supporting actor in a limited anthology series or movie to Lamorne Morris.
“I am normally quite ok, but I mean, she’s Rachel!” Coughlan said, admitting that she was a little starstruck by Aniston’s close proximity.
“She’s perfect!” Coughlan added of the Friends star, who stepped out for the carpet wearing a champagne gown and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Coughlan, for her part, donned a sparkly silver off-the-shoulder gown complete with a red Artists4Ceasefire pin, and she explained that she’s only ever visited Hollywood’s famous fast food spot while she’s been in town.
“[It’s] my very first one! ” she said of the major carpet. “Last time I just went to In-n-Out Burger!”
