NCIS Season 22: McGee Welcomes LaRoche and His Wife Into His Home

NCIS season 22, episode 17 images reveal McGee welcoming LaRoche and his wife into his home, as the field agent’s investigation continues. NCIS season 22 has focused on McGee (Sean Murray) becoming suspicious of LaRoche (Seamus Dever) after he managed to get deputy director over him. However, his real investigation didn’t begin until the new superior started stalling the case they were working in season 22, episode 9. Since then, he’s been trying to figure out what his motivations are, but the exact nature of his goals have continued to elude him.
Now, TV Insider has released new images from NCIS season 22, episode 14, teasing a tense dinner between McGee and LaRoche in the field agent’s home. The episode, airing on April 14, will introduce Brooke Lyons as LaRoche’s wife, as the pair arrive at the field agent’s house for dinner. The events will seemingly happen after the team catches a serial killer known as “The Poet.” Check out the images below:
What NCIS Season 22’s New Images Mean For McGee & LaRoche
It’s not yet clear if LaRoche is a mole in NCIS season 22, but there have been many pieces of evidence pointing to him being untrustworthy. Not only did he try and disrupt an investigation, but he’s also in the perfect position to be the alleged mole for the Nexus cartel. However, it’s unclear if McGee’s investigation is driven by wanting to bring the deputy director to justice, or if it’s because he wanted the position himself, after temporarily becoming acting director twice in the past. However, the newer character is still suspicious given his prior actions.
The dinner could be the perfect way for McGee to learn more, getting closer to the deputy director in order to try learning anything he can about his motivations. So far, while his investigation has been ongoing, the field agent hasn’t found enough concrete evidence of wrongdoing to confront LaRoche about it. While the mole could be another character in NCIS that’s not as obvious, this dinner could reveal the answer for certain. It could also see the long-term team member wrestling with the possibility that he’s wrong, depending on what goes down.

Our Take On McGee & LaRoche’s Upcoming Dinner
Without any solid evidence surrounding the deputy director’s motivations, McGee is going to have to carefully guide the upcoming conversations if he wants to learn the truth. However, there’s still the possibility that LaRoche is too obvious a suspect, clouding the field agent’s judgment because he’s already pre-decided something is going on with him. With the agent’s dinner potentially yielding important results, it could provide another major twist in NCIS’ long-term storyline.
