NCIS Hawai’i to release two new bonus specials
NCIS: Hawai’i is set to release two new bonus specials as part of its home release.
Following the show’s cancellation earlier this year, the show’s three seasons will be out on DVD as a box set from October 8.
Among the features set to be included are specials entitled ‘Ruah’s Rules: Directing NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i’ and ‘NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3: The Third Wave’ (via Us Weekly).

The show, which ran between 2021 and May of this year, focuses on agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and her team based in Hawai’i.
Opening up about the decision to axe the show, CBS Entertainment’s Amy Reisenbach admitted last month that it was a “really tough call”.
“I’m a big fan of TV first and I sympathise and relate to all the fans out there who are disappointed in the fact that these shows are ending. But at the end of the day, our job at CBS is to make those really tough calls,” she told Variety.
“We toss and turn and have sleepless nights and have endless discussions but we look at all the numbers.

“We look at what our projections are for the future, we look at where we see opportunities to potentially have even bigger success on the schedule. And we make those tough decisions.”
Following its conclusion, Lachey said that the “show meant so much to me” and “to lots of people”.
“As an AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islanders) woman, wife, mother, colleague and friend, I am more proud than ever to have been your Jane Tennant on TV,” she added.
“This journey has taught me to continue to push the envelope and break glass ceilings. I encourage you ALL to as well!”
