April 7, 2025 — NCIS star Michael Weatherly is enjoying a much-deserved break following the completion of filming on the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spin-off.
After spending eight months on location in Budapest, the 56-year-old actor has reunited with his family and embarked on a two-part vacation. Weatherly shares two children—Liam and Olivia—with his wife, Bojana Jankovic.
The family first traveled to St. Moritz, Switzerland, where Weatherly hit the slopes with his son. He posted a photo from a ski lift, showing the duo enjoying their alpine adventure. More recently, the actor has traded snow for sand, heading to a beach destination for the second leg of their trip.
While the exact location remains undisclosed, Weatherly has been posting tropical beach photos on Instagram, including a selfie shared on April 4. In the caption, he joked about his relaxing schedule, writing, “If lunch is at 12 and my massage is at 2, and I swim at 3, do I have time for a nap before cocktails?”
The vacation comes shortly after Weatherly wrapped production on NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the highly anticipated Paramount+ spin-off that reunites his character, Tony DiNozzo, with Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo.
The new series follows the former NCIS agents, now co-parents to their daughter, Tali, as they are forced to go on the run across Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked. The storyline picks up years after Ziva’s dramatic return and the family’s reunion in Paris.
An official release date for the series has not been confirmed, but in a recent social media exchange, Weatherly hinted that it is “very close” to premiering.
Fans eagerly awaiting the return of Tony and Ziva can expect a mix of action, suspense, and character-driven storytelling when the series debuts on Paramount+ later this year.
