Michael Schur Responds to The Office Reboot

Recently, Michael Schur – one of the key writers and producers of The Office (US version) – shared his thoughts on the reboot project of this hit series. In an interview, Schur confirmed that he is not involved in the production of the new version but will still follow the project as a fan.

Schur said that he has great faith in Greg Daniels, who was the “architect” of the US version and is also the main person responsible for the new project. He believes that Daniels will continue to develop his strengths in building unique characters and bringing a new and attractive story in the typical mockumentary style.

When asked if he would ever return to play Dwight Schrute’s eccentric cousin, Mose Schrute, Schur said, “I don’t really know. I think it’s up to Greg. If he asked me directly, I would definitely think about it.” This is an interesting detail because the character of Mose Schrute, although not appearing regularly, still left a deep impression on fans thanks to his humorous and quirky scenes.

Although he is no longer associated with The Office, Schur is still one of the top names in the sitcom genre. After leaving The Office, he created many successful series such as Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place.

Currently, the project to reboot The Office is in the development stage, and details about the cast and specific content have not been officially announced. However, Schur’s expression of interest in the project as well as leaving open the possibility of a return has made fans extremely excited.
