Meet the Days of Our Lives Newcomer Who May Be About to Add to Abe’s ‘Misery’

The good news is it looks like Salem’s beloved mayor Abe’s got a new superfan on Days of Our Lives. The bad news is, she seems less likely to hit the campaign trail for him and more likely to go full Annie Wilkes on him — nurse and all!

In Living Color and Living Single legend Kim Coles made her first appearance on the show on Wednesday, May 31, as Nurse Whitley. However it wasn’t just Cole’s fame that had Salemites (and us!) doing a double take at how familiar she was.

Colin just about flipped out when she came in to adjust his IV, thinking she was Paulina and leading her to angrily rebuke him for confusing the two. Whitley, however, was a lot less quick to correct an amnesiac Abe’s confusion when he thought she was Paulina. In fact, she seemed more than happy to play into his delusion that she was his wife — and tell him he’s in grave danger!

And, from the looks of spoilers, he is in a whole heap of trouble — from her! Because at the end of her first episode, Whitley seemed to run off with her patient and Abe’s missing from the hospital next week with Nurse Whitley doing her darned best to keep him cut off from the outside world.

Whether she actually means him harm or believes she’s helping him out isn’t clear just yet, but we’re pretty sure a good chunk of stalkers believe they’re on the side of the angels. And from what we’ve seen of Whitley, she seems like she’s pretty big on angels!

No word on just how long Coles is going to stick around, but if she truly does end up going off the deep end, we have a feeling she may not be long for Salem.
