It’s not all black and white when it comes to Benard’s hairstyle.
General Hospital’s Maurice Benard kicked off the latest episode of his podcast with a very important update for his fans.
A Hairy Situation
The latest episode of State of Mind featured Benard’s (Sonny) GH co-star Carlo Rota (Sidwell), who delved into what it’s been like joining daytime and being a part of Port Charles. But before the interview began, Benard had a statement to make for his viewers.
“Listen,” he began the episode. “I’m tired of hearing about my black, dyed hair.”
Fans have been quick to notice the change in Bernard’s hair, going from a grayer tone to jet black as of late. “I want it gray,” Benard admitted. “The powers that be want it black,” he said of GH. “So, there’s not a whole lot I can say…you try to pick your battles, and my hair being black is not one of them.”
A Problem
After being introduced, Rota started by saying, “I’m very happy to be in the company of your extraordinary, luscious, dark hair.”
When Benard admitted he would shave his head if he could, Rota countered the comment with, “The idea of having a problem because you want gray, they want black… listen, I wake up with a problem every day. I don’t have a choice.”
Benard asked the actor how easy it is to get out of bed without having to worry about his hair, to which Rota responded, “I’m up and out!”
