Wedding bells are ringing! Love Is Blind has once again blindsided us with a new, unexpected relationship. On Sunday, March 9 during the Love is Blind season 8 reunion, past LIB contestants Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland revealed that they are not only dating but are engaged.
Despite the two stars being on different seasons of Love is Blind — and in different countries — the pair shared that they met on the set of season 3 of Netflix’s Perfect Match.
“Even as early on as when we were on Perfect Match, I noticed that we were having the deeper conversations, the more important conversations, talking about shared values and similar outlooks on life,” Ollie told Nick and Vanessa during the reunion, adding that their individual time in the pods informed how they got to know and love each other. “I think that really laid the groundwork and the foundation for the beautiful relationship we have now, and I definitely attribute a lot of that to our experiences on Love Is Blind.”
Ollie participated in the very first season of Love Is Blind: UK; his trial fiancée Demi said no at the altar. AD’s time on Love is Blind USA season 6 was one of the most talked-about trial marriages the show has ever had; after meeting Clay in the pods, the two got engaged and made it down the aisle, but Clay called things off at the very last moment.
After the season 6 finale aired, social media rallied against Gravesande, accusing him of insincerity in his engagement to AD and his alleged relationship with an OnlyFans model (that his mother didn’t approve of). AD, on the other hand, quickly became a LIB fan favorite because of her beauty, confidence, and vulnerable honesty about her past relationship struggles.
Both Ollie and AD kissed a lot of frogs to get where they are today. Find out more about the soon-to-be-married couple, from their Love is Blind origin stories to their dating rumors to Ollie’s picture perfect proposal with their complete relationship timeline below.

“Bring your fiancé to work day,” Ollie says. “You put a ring on it. How do you feel about that?” AD asks, to which Ollie replies: “Best decision I ever made.” At the time of recording the episode, the couple reveals they have only been engaged for one week.
The two shared that after nearly a year of long distance dating between London and North Carolina, months of AD “asking when” Ollie was going to propose, countless FaceTime dates and handwritten love letters, Ollie proposed by “tricking and deceiving” AD into believing she was headed to film promo for Perfect Match.
“I don’t think it could’ve gone any better,” Ollie said of the surprise beach proposal. “It felt really, really right.” The couple appear to have amazing chemistry and share “googly eyes” the entire podcast episode, which you can witness for yourself by watching above.

December 2024: Fans speculate that AD and Ollie are dating after AD starts spending a lot of time in London.
Eagle-eyed fans began to (correctly!) guess that AD and Ollie were dating after AD began spending time in London from October 2024 to January 2025. The reality star posted casual shots of her traipsing throughout the city, at different restaurants, parks, and clubs — all perfect date spots. She even took a seemingly romantic trip to Paris and spent New Year’s Eve in London. “Ollie is so good at taking pictures!” one fan commented under her NYE post; on posts as far back as October 26, 2024, fans have been pointing out Ollie’s shadow and making supportive comments about their relationship, which was only suspected at the time.

October 3, 2024: AD and Ollie are spotted together in Mexico.
Caught on TikTok! A fan took a sly — yet extremely clear — video of AD and Ollie having dinner together while in Mexico, on what appears to be a very romantic date. The pair, who had never been seen together up to this point, were captured staring into each other’s eyes and laughing with full smiles. No camera crews were spotted in the video, which led fans to speculate that the pair were in an actual relationship not tied to any Netflix show.
August 26, 2024: Ollie and Demi get closure.
After season 1 of Love is Blind UK, Ollie and Demi were able to shed more light into their breakup and share updates on what they’ve been up to. While she says Ollie was supportive, she also felt like he could have been more communicative in the days before their wedding — which left room for doubt. Demi says she has since healed, strengthened relationships with family, and is still open to love. At the time, Ollie shared that he was exploring a connection with fellow Love is Blind UK castmate Sharlotte Ritchie, who the audience didn’t see much of on the show.
August 7, 2024: Ollie Sutherland makes his television debut.

They ultimately got engaged and did make it down the aisle, but Demi declined to marry Ollie after she had not heard from him in the days leading up to the wedding. “My head and my heart are not aligned,” she said at the time. “Ollie’s a good guy, but he’s not my guy.”

March 13, 2024: AD’s ex-fiancé Clay reveals he made a mistake.
At the Love is Blind season 6 reunion, Clay Gravesande shared that he actually regrets his decision to call things off with AD. “She’s honestly the love of my life, and I did make a mistake going to the altar and saying no,” he says, adding, “It was a big let-down and I apologize. I love you. You are the love of my life and it was a mistake.”
While AD accepted his apology, she shared during the reunion that she’s moved on in the year since filming and watching the show gave her more perspective on Clay’s shortcomings. “You had your chance, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t have given you, there’s nothing I wouldn’t have done for you. And low key, respectfully, you played in my f*cking face… because you knew that you didn’t want to get married.”
February 13, 2020: Amber Desiree “AD” Smith makes her television debut.

During the tumultuous season, she met Clay Gravesande, an entrepreneur who appeared to hold similar values about family, finances, and communication. At the altar, AD said “I do” with confidence while Clay ended up saying “I don’t.” After revealing that he’s not ready for the commitment, the former couple agreed to part ways after their emotional wedding day breakup.
