Third time’s the charm? Days after insisting they’d decided to move forward as “best friends” on the “Love Is Blind” season 8 reunion, Mason Horacek and Meg Fink seem to be giving their romance another try. In a joint social media post on March 14, 2025, the on-again-off-again duo hinted that they’re back on again, thrilling many fans.
Though the Minneapolis duo did not leave the pods together, thanks to a confusing three-way love triangle with fellow participant Madison Errichiello, they showed up later on the show holding hands. Horacek, 33, and Fink, 31, shared at the time they’d reconnected outside the pods and even staged their own “Love Is Blind” style reveal when they saw each other in person for the first time.
But during Netflix’s cast reunion, which premiered on March 8, Horacek and Fink said that after trying to be “lovers,” they both felt something was missing and decided instead to be best friends. That status update, it seems, didn’t last long.
‘Love Is Blind’ Stars Meg & Mason Share Video of Their Evolving Relationship
Horacek and Fink’s March 14 video update began with a photo from their homemade reveal, with her barefoot in a pink dress and him in a suit as they embraced. Horacek, who works as a cinematographer in the Twin Cities, captioned the post, “It was always you ”
The video they shared included a voiceover from Fink, a visual artist, as moments from their time on the show played, featuring them laughing and talking through a wall in the pods. The footage then shifted to them having fun together once they reconnected in-person.
“We tried so hard to label our relationship,” Fink said in the voiceover. “Are we friends? Are we lovers? Or are we just another lesson for love to teach us? While there was so much we couldn’t define, we knew whatever this connection was between us, we had to hold on tight.”
Fans flooded the comment section, with some confused by the latest twist and others thrilled to see them apparently back together, including one who wrote, “This just made my whole day I’m so excited ”
On March 18, Fink liked another comment that said, “I was always cheering for you 2!!!! Soooo happy for you guys!!!!!”
In since-deleted or hidden comments on the post, others wrote about their hopes the duo will potentially get married — including one who urged them to “marry your best friend.” Horacek commented that it was “good advice.”
On March 18, Horacek and Fink uploaded another joint video to social media, which appeared to show him filming her painting in a backyard.
The duo’s reconciliation comes less than a week after Horacek told People about their attempts at love, while saying he didn’t want to lose having Fink in his life.
“She was my girlfriend at two points within the last year,” he told the outlet in an interview published on March 10. “Right now, we’re just best friends, so we tried dating. It’s all good. She’s still in my life, regardless if she’s my significant other or just best friend. I don’t want to lose her.”
Mirroring what he said on the reunion, Horacek told People, “”Looking back at everything, I feel like I got a pretty good situation out of everything because I’ve got Meg in my life,” he says. “If we would’ve made it to the weddings, there was more of a risk that we could have ran into some more hard times and more pressure … just seeing what the others experienced and hearing what they went through. There was a lot of pressure just leading up to that point.”
