The recently dropped Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 brought high-stakes drama, leaving many wondering if a season 2 might be on the table— especially since only one couple tied the knot. The German adaptation of the hit show Love Is Blind was nothing short of spectacular. Netflix released Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 on January 3, 2025, presenting 30 new singles from Deutschland ready to find their soulmates in the pods. There is no current news on when to expect Love Is Blind: Germany season 2. However, the series secured a top 10 spot on Netflix charts in the first week after its launch, which was certainly a good sign. So, given the success of the recently concluded Love Is Blind Germany season 1, Netflix is likely considering having the series back for a second season.

Love Is Blind Germany Season 2 Confirmed?

Not Yet

Netflix has not yet confirmed Love Is Blind: Germany for another season, but things seem promising. With the original Love Is Blind gearing up for its eighth season, there’s hope the German adaptation might also make a comeback. Sometimes, Netflix doesn’t follow a proper announcing schedule, especially for their popular Love Is Blind franchises.

For instance, Love Is Blind season 8 will premiere on February 14, 2025. Due to its increased popularity and ability to capture the audience’s attention, the original Love Is Blind has been confirmed up to season 10. Meanwhile, Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 received mixed reactions from viewers, with some labeling it as the worst edition ever. In a Reddit thread started by DontFWithMeImPetty, fans voiced their frustrations with the season, focusing more on the production, with one Reddit member stating:

“The production company Netflix chose does Germany’s Next Topmodel as well and is criticized heavily with every season. Mainly for blatant sexism, exploitation of contestants, fabricated storylines and heavily manipulative editing.”

Another Redditor accused the streaming giant of having a plant producer, commenting:

“Hanni is a Netflix actor. No Family. Friend group is a hot Asian, African and Middle Eastern Woman. Typical for a Netflix plant. Daniel and Hanni encourage nearly every drama or question in Greece. Sorry but their whole love drama also can’t be real. I think the cast was so bad this year, that they needed this plant for this season.”

It’s not the first time Love Is Blind has been accused of casting people to spice up the show. In the recently concluded Love Is Blind season 7, Ramses Prashad was accused of being a plant producer. This was after he led on Marissa George, only to back off at the last minute, stating her “energy” was the problem.

Love Is Blind: Germany viewers felt Hanni Hase was on the show to stir the pot. That would explain why all her friends were drop-dead gorgeous, and she continuously entertained Ilias during their Greece Honeymoon. With these accusations coming early on in the German edition, Netflix might feel the need to give the viewers a second season that is less scripted than the first.

Love Is Blind Germany Season 2 Potential Cast

The Cast Will Be Diverse

Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 predominately had singles in their 20s and 30s from different cities in Germany. They also had various careers, including realtors, students, insurance agents, and more. Therefore, Love Is Blind: Germany season 2 will have cast members from different parts of the country working in various fields. As it has been with Love Is Blind US, where Nick and Vanessa Lachey have hosted the series since season 1, Stephanie “Steffi” Brungs and Christian Wackert will most likely come back as the hosts for Love Is Blind: Germany season 2.

Perhaps Love Is Blind: Germany will spice up their second installment, casting out people of different age brackets, even those over 40. Adding older people to the show would remove the stereotypes that equate dating shows to young people. It would also attract a more diverse viewership, with older viewers investing in participants since they share common life stages. In contrast, the younger ones gain insight into the mistakes avoided in their dating life. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what type of cast members will join Love Is Blind: Germany season 2.
