
Soap fans, rejoice! Lauralee Bell has announced her return to The Young and the Restless as her character, Christine Blair.
The actress took to Instagram to share a first look at her return to the popular daytime drama.
Bell captioned the photo, “Happy to be back for guaranteed good days ahead with these two!” as she posed in the shot with Michael Damian and Michael Graziadei.
Co-stars Tracey Bregman and Greg Rikaart took to the comment section to share in their excitement with various emojis, “🙌🙌👏” Bregman shared while Rikaart posted, “😍😍”. Meanwhile fellow actors Kristian Alfonso, Christian Le Blanc, Jess Walton, Melissa Claire Egan, Tracey Bregman, Greg Rikaart, Missy Reeves, and Don Diamont liked the post.
Bell was last seen as her character Christine on sister show The Bold and The Beautiful, while she and Damian last appeared on The Young and the Restless this past January.
Damian joined the soap opera in 1981 as a struggling rock star, Danny Romalotti. He has portrayed this role off and on for the last forty years. Romalotti’s relationship with Christine sparked an ongoing rivalry with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) which has caused decades of stories.
Bell was the only daughter of The Young and the Restless creators William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. She has two brothers Bill Bell Jr. and Bradley Bell. The actress joined the soap in the recurring role of Christine “Cricket” Blair in 1983, which she has portrayed on and off for the last forty years.
Bell has executive produced four projects since 2009: Family Dinner, Just off Rodeo, mI promise, and Nightmare Tenant. Three of these projects she also was involved with the writing: Family Dinner, Just Off Rodeo and mI promise.
In addition to her roles in the soap operas, her credits include Diagnosis Murder, Walker, Texas Ranger, Pacific Blue, Carpool Guy, Just Ask Mike, and V.C. Andrews’ Landry Family.
Damian has released six studio albums since 1984. His most recent single “Bring Back the Christmas Card” (featuring Sharon Hendrix) was released in 2023.
