Jethro is currently the last ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ actor still alive at the age of 85

The final episode of The Beverly Hillbillies aired more than 50 years ago, and sadly, the passage of time means that only one star of this classic sitcom is still alive today. Max Baer Jr., who played Jethro on The Beverly Hillbillies, was 85 years old and became the last living member of the cast after the death of Donna Douglas, who played Elly May, in 2015 at the age of 82.

Jethro is the cousin of main character Jed Clampett (Buddy Ebsen) on the show. He is reprimanded for not being the sharpest tool in the shed and is always looking for a new job.
