Jennifer Aniston and J. Lo are putting their picture-perfect bodies on full display right now as they vie to be Hollywood’s sexiest 50-something single woman … which has opened up a longstanding rivalry between the duo that dates back decades.
“They always fake it and play nice whenever they cross paths, but it’s an open secret they don’t have a lot of time for each other, they’re in different worlds,” a source tells Life & Style exclusively.
“One thing they do have in common is that they’re both really competitive and ferocious about being the top dog in the Hollywood body wars, they’ve been trying to one up each other for years. Now that they’re both over 50 and the pool in their age group has gotten smaller, they’re even more laser focused on each other,” the insider continues.
The Morning Show star, 55, showed off her incredibly fit body in an October 15 Instagram video that took fans behind the scenes of a Pvolve campaign shoot. Jennifer became a partner with the fitness program in 2023 after starting the workout routine three years prior.
The opening shot on Jen’s Instagram page showed a photo of the Friends alum in a sexy sleeveless little black dress. It then cut to video of her in a black bra top and leggings while doing the workout. Jen’s ripped abs were on display throughout, as a wind machine blew her hair back in one scene.
“They’re both obsessive about their bodies and looking hot and being named to all the ‘hot’ lists, is something they’re both always striving for. Sure, they’re both passionate about health and wellness, but make no mistake, it’s looking sexy that gives them the biggest thrill,” the source dishes.
J. Lo, 55, used a sexy photoshoot to go along with her first major interview after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20. In photos for Interview magazine, the Hustlers star went topless while wearing leopard-print bikini bottoms. She used gloves with the same fabric pattern to reach across her bare bosom.
In another photo from the spread, Jennifer donned a zebra print bikini and knee-high snakeskin boots, spreading her legs seductively while flaunting her ab muscles.
The interview came after the “On the Floor” singer made her first red carpet appearance since filing for divorce in a jaw-dropping dress at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 6. The glittering silver number was completely open on both sides, showing Jennifer was going commando, while black straps tied in bows held the disco ball-inspired gown together.
“J. Lo doesn’t really try to hide her competitive side, she lets it be known she wants to be number one, whereas Jen tries to downplay it and likes to come off as though she doesn’t pay attention to all of it but truth be told they’re both very consumed by it and always looking out for the competition which means they do keep a very close eye on each other,” the insider explains. “It’s no coincidence that they try and do shoots to one up each other, as far as timing and looking better, it’s all very calculated and catty.”
The Emmy-winning actress spoke of how the Maid in Manhattan star worked red carpets with “mad” expressions in a 2021 interview.
“You know who I think masters the red carpet? J Lo. I want to know what gives her the look like she’s about to be seething. It’s amazing,” Jen marveled to InStyle.
The Murder Mystery star continued, “She’s almost stuck getting mad at somebody, but she’s just so gorgeous. She’s like, ‘I can’t believe I’m standing here.’ But I don’t think she’s trying; she fell out of bed that way. She’s a performer.”
Jen said she was more insecure when it came to her own red carpet appearances. “I don’t know how to stand on a red carpet, but you do the best you can,” she added.
