When talking about her clothes in the series “Friends”, Jennifer Aniston was often “the one with the tight tops”.
But looking back, the 52-year-old actress says the outfits she wore on the beloved series were simply her personal preference.
“No one was saying, ‘Girl, your clothes should be tighter and smaller.’ Absolutely no way,” Aniston explained on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” recently.
It was just kind of what we felt comfortable in,” she added.
While playing a very stylish girl – Rachel Green, Aniston often aimed for the classics of the 90s. She often opted for leather outfits, with pleated miniskirts and see-through tights.
Aniston’s co-star Lisa Kudrow, who often wore flowing fashion as the free-spirited Phoebe Buffay, also discussed her character’s style choices with Stern. She recalled one particularly long-sleeved outfit, saying she felt like she “wrapped up” the other cast members when she hugged them for a scene.
“I felt like this mountain thing swallowed them alive,” she said of the sight.
