Jennifer Aniston Shares Story of Family’s Opposition to Her Pursuit of Acting Career

Jennifer Aniston is one of the highest paid actresses in the world today, spanning three decades. However, the beginnings were not easy for her, especially since she did not have the support of her family.

The 50-year-old has spoken several times about her bad relationship with her late mother, former model and actress Nancy Aniston. In addition, it is known that her father, actor John Aniston, was also against their daughter taking up acting, reports KP.

However, fortunately for her fans as well as the acting profession, Jennifer decided to prove everyone wrong. Behind her are many successful film and television roles, the most significant of which is a ten-year engagement in the series “Friends”.

The actress appeared in the annual issue of the magazine ‘People of the Year’, this time talking about her toxic relationship with a family that did not believe in her.

“I started to believe in myself in my early twenties. The hardest part was being completely honest with my family. However, it freed me and that’s why I’ve become so successful in my career.”

“My family used to tell me that I would never make anything out of acting. When someone asks me to do this, a magic awakens within me to tell them otherwise. And then ‘Friends’ came along and everyone saw that I was still going to make money,” Aniston said.

For her mother, with whom she had a very turbulent relationship, this does not bother her much now.

“Actually, my mother lost the most important thing. I think she really tried, but it was the struggle between her financial problems and her husband that left her completely confused.”

“It was definitely not easy being a single mother in the eighties,” the actress said of her mother Nancy, whom she hadn’t spoken to in nine years, and after she broke up with Brad Pitt, they got closer.
