A lot was asked of Jeff Kober in February 2025 and he came through for GH. His character, Cyrus Renault, was outed as the deadly Digitalis killer.
While it was winter in Port Charles, plenty of drama heated things up. On General Hospital, Brook Lynn and Chase encountered fertility issues, which caused the Quartermaine heiress to reveal her hidden past to her husband. New Drew somehow became the thorn in everybody’s side, except Willow, of course. They were closer than ever. Finally, the Angel of Mercy story arc came to an end. However, the fallout will be felt for a while.
February 2025 Performer of the Month
The Nominees
The February 2025 Performer of the Month nominees include Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase), who stepped up in February. Chase learned he was sterile, and his wife revealed she had a baby that she had put up for adoption. This news completely derailed Chase and Brook Lynn’s family planning, and they suddenly had to think about pivoting.
Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri had to deal with the fact that the woman he loved — Sam McCall (ex-Kelly Monaco) — was murdered. Dominic Zamprogna’s response to this tragedy is why he’s one of the show’s best actors. He’s so subtle with his actions and reactions.
Taking the runner-up spot for Performer of the Month, with over 32% of the vote: Rebecca Herbst, aka Elizabeth Baldwin. Elizabeth had a dramatic February as she and Lucky broke the Digitalis Killer investigation wide open. Herbst’s scenes with Finola Hughes’ Police Commissioner Anna Devane were wonderful. She laid out the evidence and the explanations for said evidence beautifully. But Herbst’s best moments were with Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) and the final confrontation she had with Jeff Kober’s Cyrus Renault, Port Charles’ answer to the Grim Reaper,
The Top Spot
Jeff Kober nabbed Performer of the Month honors for a million different reasons, but mainly, he nailed every single performance in February. As a result, over 46% of GH fans felt he should be recognized.
Kober’s time on GH came to an end, but before Joss (Eden McCoy) killed Cyrus Renault, the actor showed why he has been successfully entertaining audiences since the ’80s. He played Cyrus’s desperation when the ex-con couldn’t gain access to the patients at GH and Turning Woods. If he couldn’t gain access, he couldn’t release them. And in top-notch scenes with Herbst, the actor had to ensure that everybody believed the reasons why he killed the people that he did. Kober was absolutely mesmerizing, and we’re sorry to see Kober go.
