Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan revealed he is ready for a break after wrapping filming on his upcoming drama The Undertow.
The crime noir Netflix series has cast Dornan in the challenging roles of two identical twins. The show was originally based on Nordisk Film Production AS television series Twin. In addition to acting, Dornan has also taken on the responsibility of executive producing.
“It will come out in 2025 and has been the longest job of my career, so I’m ready for a much-needed break,” Dornan told the PA news agency.
Since Dornan indicated wanting a hiatus, fans might worry that he might be out of the public eye for a while. A couple of years ago, the star of Fifty Shades of Grey went into hiding after the first film received negative reviews and ridicule. He said he and his family camped out in movie directors Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s place to “shut ourselves off from the world a bit.”

Earlier this year, Dornan told the Independent he would be happy not to audition for high-profile roles anymore.
“I’ve realized I don’t want big peaks all the time. That doesn’t interest me. I’m happy to keep ticking over as I am, then one day just disappear and play golf for the rest of my life,” the Golden Globe nominee said.

However, Dornan just began a partnership with Diet Coke. Dornan joins other celebs like Kate Moss in the brand’s roster of A-list brand ambassadors. Dornan modeled for their most recent ‘This Is My Taste’ campaign, which celebrated personal style.
If Dornan admirers cannot watch Dornan acting after The Undertow airs, they can look toward the billboards or Coke commercials.
