While the Will Trent book series has already established a clear endgame love interest for Will, Marion Alba’s introduction on the show sparked some curiosity about whether she might eventually fill that role. Initially, it seemed possible that Marion could be Will’s endgame, as their connection developed over the course of the season. However, now that it seems less likely Marion will end up with Will, I’m starting to consider what’s next for his romantic future.
Although it’s unclear if Will and Angie Polaski will ever get back together, I believe she’s still the strongest candidate for Will’s endgame, at least if no new characters are introduced. Angie and Will have a complex, yet deep, history together, and their chemistry is undeniable. Despite their past struggles, there’s a certain understanding and emotional depth between them that’s hard to ignore. Angie knows Will on a level that few others do, and their shared history creates a strong foundation that could lead to them reconnecting, especially if Will is able to work through his emotional baggage. The possibility of them finding their way back to one another is real, though it may take time for Will to open up and truly allow himself to be vulnerable again.
That said, there’s also the chance that Will’s ultimate love interest might not be someone we’ve met yet. If the show introduces a new character in the future, it’s possible they could be the one who becomes Will’s endgame. Given Will’s complex emotional journey and his struggle with guilt, trauma, and trust, his true match could be someone who offers him the understanding and support he needs—someone who aligns with his growth and healing in ways that Marion or Angie couldn’t. It’s entirely possible that Will’s romantic future lies with someone viewers have yet to encounter, someone who fits into his life when the time is right.
So, while Angie remains my strongest bet for Will’s endgame partner, I’m also open to the idea that the writers may surprise us by introducing someone new who becomes the perfect match for him. There’s still plenty of room for his love life to evolve, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.
