MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — The Season 23 winner of the FOX show “Hell’s Kitchen” is set to become the executive chef at the Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Foxwoods.
Effective May 1, Chef Kyle Timpson will oversee the kitchen and continue the casino’s commitment to attracting top culinary talent and solidifying its position as a premier dining destination, Foxwoods announced on Thursday.
“I am humbled to start as executive chef at Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods. To be stepping into this role at the venue, I gave everything I had to win is absolutely surreal,” said Timpson. “Foxwoods already feels like home, and I’m excited to not only deliver the high-intensity, high-flavor experience guests expect from HELL’S KITCHEN, but also to do it in a way that celebrates the local community.”
In this past season, head chefs were pitted against one another. Timpson brought creativity and high energy to the kitchen throughout the season, according to the casino.
“Kyle earned this opportunity through sheer grit, passion, and undeniable talent,” said Ramsay. “Watching him grow during Season 23 was inspiring, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to officially welcome him to HELL’S KITCHEN at Foxwoods.”
Before competing on the show, the New Jersey native has taken on multiple leadership positions, including executive chef, kitchen manager, and sous chef, at various kitchens in the Cape May and Philadelphia areas.
Seasons 23 and 24 were filmed at the Foxwoods location last summer. Season 23 aired on Thursday nights on FOX this past fall, and Season 24 will air at a later date. Season 24 will feature one chef from each state competing for the top spot.
